I'm terribly sorry, but it seems I am going to be unable to brew anything for the time being. The morning sickness - or in this case, the all-the-time sickness - was never this bad with Harry; or, rather, it was, but at least it was predictable. Needless to say, any and all fumes make me ill, so the good people whom I serve will have to go elsewhere for their potions, at least until this passes, but God only knows when that will be. |

[May. 19th, 2008|01:04 am] |
James and I are delighted to say that we are expecting our second child, but not until the spring. I have an appointment at St. Mungo's tomorrow, and from that we will get a better timeframe, but from what I can tell, I'm only seven or eight weeks along. I'm terribly excited, though. Harry will have a younger brother or sister to play with and take care of, even if he will be off to Hogwarts before he or she gets too old.
This does not mean, however, that I am going to sit around and play housewife for the next seven months. I expect to be treated the same as I am treated now, as my abilities will not be compromised just because I'm pregnant.
That said, I think this has come at a bad time, because of Professor Vector's death. I wanted to wait a few days before announcing, but I can't lie and say that I'm not still very happy to be having another child. |

[Feb. 8th, 2008|12:58 am] |
Whoever sent me the single lily stem, thank you, it's beautiful, and surprisingly still alive.
On another note, my sister actually wrote me, but it was to tell me that mum isn't doing very well. She's taking dad's death harder than we'd thought, and she can't stay with her, because she's married and all that, so I'm going to go stay with her a couple weeks. I'll have my journal, and I'll be popping round periodically, so if I'm needed, don't feel like you can't talk to me.
James I guess this means you and Sirius can have the flat back, since...well since you're paying for it and all. And um...I never actually thanked you for staying with me last week, so I could sleep. You didn't have to, and I honestly didn't expect you to, so thanks. |
